What’s a Modern TV Show blog without Modern Family! Modern family is a hilarious family sitcom that follows the lives of a diverse extended family. The show follows the same family every episode, and does not fail to make you laugh every single episode.

Quick recap of characters:
The head of the family, Jay, is remarried to a much younger woman, Gloria, a passionate Colombian with whom he has an infant son, Joe Pritchett, and a son from Gloria's previous marriage, Manny. Jay's daughter Claire was a homemaker, but has returned to the business world. She now works in her father's closet business. She is married to Phil Dunphy, a realtor and self-professed "cool Dad". They have three children: Haley, a stereotypical ditzy teenage girl, Alex, a nerdy, smart middle child, and Luke, the off-beat only son. Jay's lawyer son Mitchell and his husband Cameron Tucker have an adopted Vietnamese, daughter, Lily Tucker-Pritchett. As the name suggests, this family represents a modern-day family and episodes are comically based on situations which many families encounter in real life.

Modern Family has currently finished airing 8 seasons and it is about to launch its 9th season in late September this year. Even though there are so many episodes to watch, a new watcher can totally switch on a random episode and enjoy it just as much. Through watching the show I have learnt to love each character through their perks. I also think I can definitely relate to all the characters in small ways. The producers really knew how to reel in every kind of audience. From the first season till now, we see each character grow both emotionally and physically and its quite fun to see. So if you’re someone who loves a good laugh and has some spare time, I definitely recommend watching modern family. You definitely won’t regret it.

The IT Crowd The IT Crowd is a simple, yet hilarious British Comedy show based around the semi-disastrous lives of two antisocial IT professionals, Maurice Moss (played by Richard Ayoade) and Roy Trenneman (played by Chris O’Dowd). Throughout each series the pair provide IT support for their company, Reynhold Industries under the watchful eye of their new department supervisor Jen Barber (played by Katherine Parkinson), who does not understand technology in the slightest. Hey guys! It's Sushmi here again, with yet another sitcom, The Office (US version). This show is one that I've recently started watching and it's a really good show to pass time and procrastinate, with short 20-25 minute episodes that are extremely funny. As the title suggests the show revolves around an office, a branch of a paper company in Scranton, America called 'Dunder Mifflin'. It shows the everyday lives of the staff of this company under the management of their eccentric manager, Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, a very talented actor who has starred in many successful movies, eg. Despicable Me Series, Get Smart. Even though the staff are working a boring everyday sales role, the interactions within each character is what makes the show so good. The main recurring roles include a love interest between receptionist, Pam, and sales, Jim Chapman.
