The Office (US)

Hey guys! It's Sushmi here again, with yet another sitcom, The Office (US version). This show is one that I've recently started watching and it's a really good show to pass time and procrastinate, with short 20-25 minute episodes that are extremely funny.

As the title suggests the show revolves around an office, a branch of a paper company in Scranton, America called 'Dunder Mifflin'. It shows the everyday lives of the staff of this company under the management of their eccentric manager, Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, a very talented actor who has starred in many successful movies, eg. Despicable Me Series, Get Smart. Even though the staff are working a boring everyday sales role, the interactions within each character is what makes the show so good. The main recurring roles include a love interest between receptionist, Pam, and sales, Jim Chapman. Along side with Jim works, Dwight Shrute, a hilarious character  with a lack of good social skills and common sense, yet with a very competitive nature, one of the highest ranking salesmen of the company. Jim often plays pranks on Dwight for his own entertainment and the reactions are very funny. There are many other characters with recurring roles but, none of them play as entertaining a role as the previously mentioned.

Each episode follows its own story line, with new schemes and experiments by the regional manager, Michael Scott. I haven't actually finished the whole show my self - I've only reached season 4, but I have heard from little birdies that *SPOILER ALERT*  Michael Scott leaves the show towards the final seasons of the show *SPOILER ALERT* so I think that aspect may bring the quality of the show down but however I still recommend this show once again for anyone who wants a good laugh and has quite immature humour like myself.
