Mr. Robot
Continuing on my path looking for more tech oriented TV shows I recently stumbled upon Mr. Robot. Being the geek I am, I was sold after watching the first episode. I won't be going into the story because I believe other sites have explained it better but I will be giving my opinion on what I loved about the show and what I didn't.
A little disclaimer before I go in deeper: The show is a little crazy and it only gets crazier as the story progresses, so, watch out. Anyways, getting to the good stuff, I can go so far as to say that this show has depicted the concept of 'Hacking' better than any other Movie or TV Show I've watched till date because they use real technical terms, like 'Pentesting' rather than saying 'Hacking WiFi' or 'Rootkit' and more. Things don't get hacked with the click of a button, they have to plan everything, take help of other 'Hacking groups', run scripts, type long pieces of code, and actually go in and plant hardware to be able to 'hack' into someone's system or network. The show also handles the plot really well and focuses on character development of each new person they introduce, unlike some shows which keep on adding new characters without giving any backstory on them. Coming to the bad part, as i said before, the show is a little crazy and disturbing at times, some scenes, well..I'd rather not talk about it. So yeah, not much negative to say about it. You'll love it if you're into Technology or fascinated by 'Hacking' or even if you're looking for something different from your typical Sci-Fi stuff. Season 3 comes out next month so catch up before its too late!
